⏱ Preparation time: 10 minutes
👩👩👧👦 Serves 4
🧺 Ingredients
1 large ripe papaya (about 500 g)
600 ml cold water
1 to 2 tbsp honey (to taste)
Juice of 1/2 lime
A few ice cubes (optional)
👩🍳 Step-by-step preparation
Prepare the papaya
Cut your papaya in half lengthwise. Using a spoon, remove all the black seeds. Then, scoop out the orange flesh with a spoon or a small knife.
Blend the ingredients
Place the papaya flesh in a blender. Add the cold water, honey, and lime juice.
For a smooth texture
Blend everything for about 1 minute, until the texture becomes smooth and homogeneous. If you prefer it very cold, you can also add a few ice cubes before blending.
Strain (optional)
For an even silkier result, you can strain the juice using a fine sieve, especially if your papaya has fiber.
Serve in style
Pour the juice into a carafe and serve it immediately in pretty glasses. You’ll get a vibrant and appetizing result!
🌟 Tips for successful juicing
The riper the papaya, the sweeter your juice will be naturally: trust its deep orange color and melting texture.
Taste before adding sweetener! Some papayas are very sweet and hardly need any honey.
🧊 Storage
Store in a cool, airtight container.
Duration: Up to 2 days in the refrigerator at a maximum of 4°C.
Shake well before serving, as the juice may settle slightly.
